Cotton is the most widely used fabric because of its simplicity and make and is preferred for daily wear. There is a wide range of cotton garments with elaborate designs making use of real Zari and Resham Meenakari work.

The process of ‘mercerising’ is a textile finishing treatment for cellulose fabric and yarn, mainly cotton and flax, which improves the dye uptake and tear strength, reduces fabric shrinkage, and imparts a silk-like lustre. Ideal for casual wear, the mercerised cotton sarees are one step ahead in being soft and radiant and is one of the best choices for wearing in humid climate.

As with any Banarasi product, this 3 piece suit-set is embellished with detailed floral motifs, foliate motifs and a string of leaves and has gold brocade or ‘Zari’ work, small motifs or designs, compact weaving and a metallic appeal.
